iPod Touch

This christmas I got an iPod touch. You think, well, I don’t really know what you think but, I love it! The iPod touch has many features that make it what it is. I bought it for about $227, which is not really alot compared to many gifts this christmas.

The sleek new design on the iPod touch makes it easy to store and carry around in places. You can either buy a 8gb, 16gb, or a 32gb. Ok, let’s get into what it actually gives you. Safari is it’s main browser. It’s pretty fast in my opinion. Also, there is a calendar which you can track/write down your favorite events coming up. There is also a email client which you can pick different choices of emails from including gmail, yahoo mail, and mobile me. It’s pretty good to read the emails when you’re not around the computer. There is also a YouTube automatically installed into the iPod touch, and I love it, and many people also do.

The stocks app is one of my favorites. It shows you up-to-date stock information which you don’t get too much on the internet. Google maps is also installed into the touch. It helps you get around mostly anything, including highways, roads, and streets, so you won’t get lost. In the apps store, you can find a TWC (the weather channel) app where you can explore different parts of the world and see what kind of weather they get.

The touch also comes with a clock, (it can be your local time or times throughout the world). You can also install apps including, but not limited to, AIM (instant messaging), Pandora (internet radio), and WordPress (blogging). The iPod touch has helped many people get around the internet, and mainly to have fun. I would recommend it to anyone who still didn’t recieve a christmas gift.

Connecticut got the first snow of the season, finally! It dumped about 6 inches in our region. Awesome! I’ll post a pic, and you’ll see what i mean:

Now that I’m back to blogging and got a new theme, I’m starting off with something that can be pretty cool. Letmegooglethatforyou was meant for users posting questions that can be answered on Google. Genious!

Goosh

So, ever heard of Goosh? Well, Goosh is the unofficial Google shell. It’s awesome. It’s almost like a unix-shell. Goosh is still in beta. Where you see a blinking mark, type in “h” and there you go, it shows you all of their commands that you can type in while on their website.

Here is a list of all commands:

WyldRyde

Ever heard of Wyldryde? If not, it is one of the best IRC networks out there! I’ve been on wyldryde for about more than 6 months and will continue. Wyldryde has over 300 hundred channels and will continue getting more.

If you want to connect to wyldryde, download any irc client, which can be found here: http://wyldryde.org/software/

If you want to connect on xchat, type: /newserver irc.wyldryde.org And on mIRC, a popular IRC client, type: /server irc.wyldryde.org

The channel with most users is #chris. I’m voiced there. Go into the chat, type in !voice, and it will give you instructions of how to get it. Being voice in #chris means that you can talk while the chat is moderated (+m), which is when Chris does his videos or the chat is being flooded. Firefox 3

What do I think of Firefox 3? It’s awesome! Firefox 3 had 8 million downloads the first day which broke the world record for downloads in 24 hours. Firefox had fixed some bugs, but not all of them. One thing I spotted, is youtube. Whenever I try to make the video the size of my screen, it comes up black. And when I went on Internet Explorer, it showed full screen. Weird, isn’t it? When I got my new computer, my Toshiba Satellite C-300, the first thing I downloaded was Firefox. Now I experience faster speeds with Firefox. Also, I have an adblocker, which I think you know what it might do ;). I would recommend Firefox to all internet users, here’s the link.
